My Tiny Box

I see you
I see you through the patches on my skin
I see myself decaying
I see you leaving

I close my eyes
Letting time pass by
I pack myself away in my tiny box
My tiny box

I gaze through the hole
I see you and the life that you stole–
from me
I see you and the dreams I’ve dreamt

You sucked the life out of me
Buried me in my tiny box of misery
You stole the sunshine that beamed through me
You left me out in the open for all to see

I lie awake in my tiny box
Shedding tears and guilt
I lie awake in my tiny box
Hoping this won’t last long enough–
to kill me
